Exercise - CURRENT AWARENESS POST

Nowadays people do not really be careful to  put their personal information online including  their names,DOB, photos and even everyday's events. So their important private information can be published easily through high-tech knowledge.

Investigative Exercise - Podcasts

Podcasting is a convenient way of automatically downloading audio or video files to your computer. You can then play this audio or video on your computer or transfer the files to a portable MP3 or video player.

Black town Library,Diane Bestwick spent almost a decade in China researching her novel. She traveled extensively throughout China, living for short periods with many of her English student’s families as well as her teaching colleagues’ homes. She continues to play a supportive role to several foster homes in China

Investigative Exercise - Wikipedia

Yes, I have used Wikipedia and have found it to be sometimes vague and not as comprehensive and informative as it should be.
Therefore I believe if the Library would take the initiative to elaborate the information from its comprehensive array of books, it could only improve and make Wikipedia a more creditable source of information.
As information could be relaid from the wealth of knowledge obtained from many books on the same topic. It is a mammoth task but would be lost and would create a healthy resource for peoples' knowledge in the future

Investigative Exercise - Social Networking

I think it is good because a library can get lasted comments or information outside.
A library can advertise itself to people and shows its latest event.

Investigative Exercise - Blogs Tame the web blog

Tame  the web blog has an entry  by Lorelei Rutledge at the University of Utah. Who is doing research on woman academic librarians experiences pursuing management opportunities. She has created a questionnaire that follows experiences in those positions, and their reasons for choosing to pursue management opportunities or not.

I am interested in this for myself as woman and my career working in a library. In the future I would like management opportunities for myself in libraries.

Exercise – inviting people to be authors on your blog

I have invited Leanne, Maria and Sirana to be authors on my blog.

Excercise-What is your favourite social media?

Face Book is my favorite social media .It is a great platform for people to know each other and share feelings with friends. I use it to contact and chat with my friends, and share information with my friends there. I really enjoy to watch and read the different videos and news which people posted. we leave messages to comment each others' photos there whenever we have special events.

But I don’t use Pinterest.

Youtube is a very useful and handy social media no matter for entertainment or for academic use. I love to watch movie, listen to music and academic tutorial there.
Unfortunately, I don't have my own Youtube.

Good reads Good reads is a free website for book lovers. It is easy and handy to access the books whenever you want. You can also post your own reviews and catalogue what you have read, are currently reading, and plan to read in the future.

Excerise - Recommendation

Auburn Library has Facebook, twitter and youtube, but they don’t have Flicker, Pinterest, Blogger. They can add more interaction with library members if they add these apps. Nowadays, children know more about technology, so we can add more 2.0 apps to  interact with youth.
